Nicholas Sparks Made Me Cry...

Yes, he made me cry these two days... reading towards the end of this title The Last Song, my precious tears were at the corner of my eyes and I have to swallow back the lump in my throat to keep me from "wailing" out.....
Oh dear, I read a few of Nicholas's books before and I was not teary at all though I love reading his way of writing... they indeed touched my heart but this one is super-touching!
Maybe the characters in the book are sort of similiar.... we love our kids.... no doubt about loving them unconditionally too... but Steve, the father, he is so full of spirit's love... so understanding and patient that his rebellious daughter melted towards him in the middle part of the book...

I don't really know how to review a book but if you are an avid reader, do take up this book and read it with all your heart....

Susan Lewis, Sandra Brown... I adore these!

For the first time in history, I bought 4 books in a row last weekend!  Books are not cheap these days.. let me tell you!  Our government should encourage us to read more by reducing the import tax so that the prices of books are more affordable.  Not anyone would want to spend hundred over ringgit for just a couple of books, right?

Anyway, hope in future, books prices will be reduced.. right now, I will spend my precious time reading these books slowly and carefully... hahahaa....

I love Susan Lewis books... read a few before.. Sandra Brown is also not bad but I haven't read the other two authors before... Hope they are as good if not better! :)

Vanity Drive

I read this book recently - Vanity Drive by Yvonne Lee.  Initially I thought it is just another one of those "groom up" books but I was very wrong.  From the first chapter onwards, I was so engrossed by her writings on her experiences from a young girl to a mother of three kids now.

Her wits and the way she writes is amusing and I am sure many ladies will agree with me when they read this book. There are some parts that made me laugh .... yes, very true.. just like Us Ladies!...

Max On Life

I love Max Lucado's books, they are so simple to read, not complicated and the most important is that, the words speak to me. Easy understanding, yes, that is Max Lucado. I first heard about Max through my cell leader, she told me that if we want to read books about spiritual growth, we don't have to search far, just look for Max Lucado's books. He has a gift of writing and I believe that he writes it with God in his heart.

In his latest book Max On Life, again he answers our heart's desire on the word "Faith." Faith is unseeing, as in a Christian life, "Believing is Seeing"... seeing God's works in our lives. Max has written this book with so many spiritual based answers on more than 150 questions posed. In a christian life, we have many questions which are left unanswered, reading this book, it enlightens us and make a better understand on our Almighty God. We all have a choice, to read and to follow. God gives us a choice, He will help us when we have chose and He will continue to guide us through.

This book Max On Life is highly recommended to both christians and non-christians. I am sure we will have a better understanding on our spiritual life after reading this book.

A real romantic book with a gist of emotions and strong feelings of love... most suitable for passionate lovers. Cleffairy has done it again, you can feel that she has so much to give, her description of the magical love is in her heart and she gives it all in this book, it is amazing that we humans can feel so much, give out our inner feelings to declare to the one we love....

Inspector Singh-Written By Shamini Flint

I finished reading this book in a matter of few days.... A Deadly Cambodian Crime Spree is very well written by Shamini Flint...
Where there is horror of the crimes written, there is also a space where humour was found, a character namely Inspector Singh. The way Shmini wrote about him, he portrays a real person in my mind, what he thinks and says, they are very familiar to my imagination. Love the humour there!
But on the other hand, the sorrows and frustration felt by the Cambodians are very touching.... we who are not staying or living there, we should count ourselves many times blessed... the horrors and the tortures the civilians have to go through, I guess no one can imagine how terrifying it really was during the killing fields tragedy....
The ending was quite a surprise to me... I never thought... never expect that he is the one....Great Work, Shamini!!

A Deadly Cambodian Crime Spree

Many Thanks to Shamini Flint! She sent me this book upon request... gosh, this is the first time I read her books, looking at the title is interesting enough. I post this up today because I am going to read it in a short while. And when I finished reading it, I will post up the review. Meanwhile I am going to savour every word in this book... cos I love to read anything criminal and of law and order....

A Conversation With God

A conversation with God, a book where you can get some enlightening answers.
If I could ask God one question, what would it be? I have thought about it and I felt rather guilty actually. One question is definitely not enough, I have endless questions to ask God but one important one is .... what does He have in store for each one of us?
This book might be able to help us find some answers that you want to know. It helps to enlighten many of the most commonly asked questions...
I do not know what God's plans are us, I admit I am not a filial child of God, in fact, I sway much, I backslide too, the worldly things tempts me a lot. But if I could, I would like to ask God to furiously guide me, not allowing me to backslide, pick me up when I fall, turn me away from temptations and not allowing me to make my own decisions...
God, will you turn my life to what Your Purpose You have for me?

Nothing Lasts Forever Sidney Sheldon

I have finished reading Sidney Sheldon's string of books and not only once, sometimes I read them over and over again after a period of time. His books are really breathtaking... thrilling... exciting... that I just couldn't put them down at one time. Sidney is and always will be the best author I have ever known.

Nothing Last Forever is another thrilling book he had ever written... it is about three beautiful doctors, each facing their own dilemma and one has even end up in her death due to a joke gone awry. If there is a movie based on this show, I would be most most happy to watch it... in fact if all the books that Sidney had written, turned into movies, how wonderfully glad I would be!!

After The Darkness

With the RM50 voucher from MPH and expiring soon in June, I went to the bookshop to browse around and get something I really want. It was a very hard decision making time because I simply love most of the books at the fiction section. But something caught my eye.....

My favourite author of all times, Sidney Sheldon, his whole list of books were there.... and I have read them all. Lying next to his books were Tilly Bagshawe, GREAT! I remember Kathy sending me one of her books and since then, I like Tilly. She writes like Sidney, bless his soul... she has the similiarity of writing like him and I love her way too, reading page by page on and on, never wanting to put it down.

Yeah, I finally bought her book with the vouchers.... I started on the first few pages and you know what... I don't want to finish it fast... I want to save it up... till I really have nothing to do and then I will read it.. after all, it is mine to KEEP... so I will read it REAL SLOW... lol..

Jodi Picoult Plain Truth

I just finished reading this book by Jodi Picoult, Plain Truth. This story about an Amish girl undergoing the guilt and sticking to her truth about what she knows, even to the brink of being accused of murdering her own newborn baby.

This is the first time I heard of Amish beliefs and I kind of respect them in what they practise. They are called "Plain People" in the town they live in, their community is strong, helping one another in times of need.

Katie is just like another ordinary teenager who is accused of being the murderer of her newborn baby. The court involves Ellie Hathaway, her "cousin" and defending lawyer, both of them built a strong relationship with one another along the way.
I am amazed by the ending... the real "murderer" who killed the baby for a reason... LOVE.
