Simple Worship Greeting!

My girl asked me just now.. How to say an opening prayer before leading worship? She is leading her schoolmates tomorrow morning in school, leading in worship so before she starts, she is not sure what she wants to say...
Well, I just told her.. say what is in her heart.. to our Father... early morning.. just Thank Him for another beautiful blessed day He has given to us.... simple words will be wonderful and worship in songs and praise will be pleasing unto Him as well!

Be Patient

Today the sermon made a great impact on me.. God is speaking to me tonight.. during the sermon and it made me realize I was like this....

Patience..
When we are patient, we bring the best out of us...
When we are impatient, we bring the beast out of us...

Patience with others, it brings love...
Patience with ourselves, it brings hope...
Patience with God, it brings faith... In US....

It is very true.. I have been very impatient lately... I wanted things my way and get it done fast.. and it wore me down, tremendously... God says Wait... but I couldnt wait.... Now I know what He wants me to do... Be Patient...

Family Time

I read in this Lent book.. a family time question ...
It says...."Ask the children to draw an "authority" figure at home, in school, in society, and invite an explanation. Compare that person's authority to Jesus's authority. "Dear Lord, we thank you for sending Jesus, Your only Son. And we thank you that your gave Him the power and authority to do all things. Amen."

Jesus Our King

Matthew 21:1-17 says about the two incidents in which Jesus communicating God's message not only through His words (teaching, stories) but also through His actions. Riding into Jerusalem on a donkey, declaring Himself as King, the people were excited and elated.
Second incident Jesus's cleansing of the temple is also a prophetic sign of what He wants to do with each of us. He ever seeks to cleanse us of sin and make us living temples of His Holy Spirit.

Firm Foundation

Matthew 7:24 says Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house upon a rock...
A wise man whose faith in God is strong will never prevail to the sins of the world.. whatever it takes to tempt him, he will remain focused to Him.
Have we laid that foundation where we couldn't be swayed away? I dare not say Yes for myself, I will continue to earnestly seek God for strength and directions in my life...
