What Shall We Sing?

Cell leader called me up to ask what songs we should sing for next week church service. Frankly I told her I was still tired after coming back from my trip just last night and I do not have the inspirations yet on what songs we should be singing.
I told her to choose them herself and I hope she gets them well...
We are the Reason is a nice song but I m sure the congregation does not know how to sing this..
Maybe we should stick to the old worship songs first..

L-O-V-E

God is Love... whoever lives in love lives in God... and God in him.. in this way, love is made complete among us so that we can have confidence on the day of judgment because in this world, we are like Him... there is no fear in love and perfect love drives out fear... because fear has to do with punishment... the one who fears is not made perfect in love....

The above words are from the four letter word.. LOVE... it is not easily achievable by anyone of us.. we love some, not all...and there are always certain restrictions and obstacles that hinders us from loving someone more...

How wonderful if we can just instill the word LOVE in our everyday lives...

Love One Another

Today is Valentine's Day ... I am not going to post on this occasion, when I opened my Bible a moment ago, it says "Love One Another".....

It says, lets not love with just words from our tongues but with actions and in truth. To love one another sincerely, genuinely from our hearts, not for any ulterior motives. God sees through our hearts, He knows what we are thinking... He knows how faithful we are....

His commandment, believe in the name of His son, Jesus Christ, and to love one another as He commanded us...Those who obey His commands live in Him and He in them....

Cell Group Celebration

We had a pot bless last night and the turnout was great... lots of abundant food to savour... as usual, we had our worship praise to our Lord before we started the food galore.

Later it was a candle blowing birthday celebration for three golden ladies... a birthday song was sung and many of us took part in the singing program after the feast!

Amazing Grace (My Chains Are Gone)

A beautiful song written by Louie Giglio, John Newton, Edwin Excell, Chris Tomlin and John Rees

Verse 1:

G C G
Amazing grace how sweet the sound
G D
That saved a wretch like me
G C G
I once was lost, but now I'm found
G D G
Was blind but now I see

Chorus:
C G
My chains are gone, I've been set free.
C G
My God, My Savior has ransomed me.
C Em
And like a flood his mercy reigns.
D G
Un-ending love, amazing grace

Verse 2:
’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear,
The hour I first believed!

Verse 3:
The Lord has promised good to me,
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be,
As long as life endures.

Verse 4:
The earth shall soon dissolve like snow,
The sun forbear to shine;
But God, who call’d me here below,
Will be forever mine.
(Will be forever mine)
(You are forever mine)
