We Are Here To Praise YOU!

I attended my first official Methodist Senior Fellowship night at the beginning of this month.  It was indeed an memorable affair for me because I was given the privilege to lead in the worship and in front of a crowd.  I was overwhelmed with excitement... the shivers that sprang inside me was not at all encouraging.  I have learn my lessons previously, the more I was determined to give a good praise, the less I was able to perform it well.  This time I am more prepared, not due to more practices but prayers!  The week before the real day, I lifted up this petition to my Lord, submitting to Him and asking for a prepared heart.. just to focus on Him and not on my own ability.  The songs are for Him, we have to sing it wholeheartedly.  Give me a humble heart to enjoy the worshiping, not to please others but wholehearted for Him.  Indeed it works!  The night of Praise and Worship went on tremendously well, the chords did not get entangled by my fingers, I was able to play without any panic of keys, if you know what I mean... and right till the end, I really have to give Him all the Praise He deserves!!

Woodcraft Furniture

All along I am enthralled with wood furniture.  If it is possible, I would like to furnish my whole living hall with wooden chairs, tables and cupboards and it would be possible if I log in to woodcraft supply.  Everything will look so neat and nice!  But as it is now, my living hall consists of different varieties, leather sofas, glass coffee tables and wooden cupboards.  They are so mixed up in a way!  LOL.... Well, but worry not, as the saying goes, we need to be contented with what we have, what we need is more important than what we want, right?

Where Do I Begin - Love Story

My blog is now "revamped"... from today onwards, this blog will be anew and renewed. I will blog about my life, my passion for music and how it flows in to each day's circumstances.  Music is the main theme here.  Without music, the world will stand still.  Music is not just about the instruments but voices that come out from our mouth....

And now...

Where do I begin... to tell the story of how great a Love can be...
The sweet love story that is older than the sea...
That sings the truth about the love He brings to me...
Where do I start...

Well, let me start off with giving Thanks to my one and only Almighty God... For He has indeed a Blessing in my life.. without Him, I am a goner... gone case lady!  The story of my life with Him started in the year 1997, the same year my partner was allowed to be taken away... and since then... I am in "another world".. a very different world...

Everything I own, everything I have... they do not belong to me now...

Spring Cleaning

There are three stacks of DVDs still lying on on top of my TV cabinet.  If something is not done about them soon, they will be donated or given away, I told my kids.  Most of the DVDs belong to them and my son suggested some DVD cabinets, that will solve all the problem!  But the question is, will we still use them?  Do we still want to watch the movies over and over again?  I do not like to keep things which are not useable anymore.  I still have bags of clothes to be given away, all are lying in my store room.  One of these days, I need to spring clean my house again.  Wait till my heroes are back home, they are a great help! :)

A Gathering Of Love

The next MSF will be here again... each time I look forward to going to this fellowship and I must confess that it is also Food-old-Ship that keep me going.  Besides the fellowship with one another, it is wonderful to be in the presence of the Lord, to worship Him with all our hearts.  While at times our stomachs are sort of "rumbling".. nevertheless, getting together and praising Him in songs have a wonderful effect on us after that.  One can feel the love and the bonding with another... the joy and contentment is always written on the faces of many who come...

Scooter

The last time I rode on a scooter was in the 1980s.  Since then, I have never sat on a scooter before, times have changed now.  There are so many errant drivers on the roads nowadays, the traffic is so much different from before.  The drivers are not as cautious and civic minded as in the earlier years.  There are also road bullies on the prowl and riding a scooter needs much caution and expertise in my area.  It would be great if all motorcyclists have this type of broken ankle scooter instead of the usual bike, then accidents will not be so high a percentage in my area.

Lighthouse Ministry

I was in the Lighthouse for the first time last couple of weeks. Lighthouse was founded by my church a couple of years ago and since then, it has become a success.. From the donations received, the Lighthouse is now giving out free meals to homeless people. It also serves as a house for them to have their showers, medical attention at times and to be served balanced meals....
We had a good time singing a few worship songs and it was truly a great experience... Praise The Lord for His continuous Love and Mercy upon our lives....

Musical Instruments

I really enjoyed the night of worshiping in the Concourse area during the MSF night.  Everything went on fine except for the sound system.  There was only one amplifier around and it would be great if there were more nicer speakers to accommodate the sound system.  I remember coming by to this website where they have a nice range of cool phantom power supply at musicians friend.  To know more about musical instruments and their products, I would strongly recommend this, I have thought of getting a whole set for my home use.  I do not not need to visit karaoke lounges anymore, a home-based one will be very much comfortable!

Words

It runs in the family... out of six siblings including me, five of us simply loves singing!  I wonder whether we got our genes from our mom or our pa...  well, whoever we got it from, it does not matter... music is definitely in our blood!  I remember my father loves to dance and my mom loves to sing, I guess both are in the music stream!  LOL...
Well, the best thing that happens to me is that I love to worship and sing my heart out to my Lord.. Words that touch my heart, words that speak on behalf of how I feel and wanting my Lord to know... that is the most important of it all...

Minor Renovation

My house has been undersgoing some minor renovation recently.  The contractor has stopped half-way citing that some certain stock was inadequate and he is waiting for the products to arrive.  This left me in the lurch, I would rather he finishes the renovation at "one go" so that I can tidy up the house once and for all.  My balcony is in a mess due to some "leftovers".. some metals stuff and they reminded me of the u-bolts in this website.  I hope the contractor will be able to finish before end of this month, I really don't like to see my house in a mess and it is very tedious to clean up again and again...

A Night Of Worship And Songs

It was a night of fun and joy worshiping and praising our Lord God... Finally I am enrolled into the Methodist Senior Fellowship because now I have reached my 50s "landmark."  :)

From now on, whenever there are any activities in MSF, I will get to join in the fun.  Every now and then, they go for day trips, organized by a few of the members.  I heard it is great fun, going as  a group.  I hope one day I will be able to join in the excursion... now that I am still working, I might not be able to join as often as I want to.... but when the day of retirement comes for me, there will not be a problem anymore...

Events And Gifts

My girl is now in her second year in college, she is considered a "senior" now in a way.  New students are coming in every now and then.   It has been more than a year now since she left home and I remember I was so worried for her when she did.  She is the "baby" in the family and I couldn't imagine that she has to do everything by herself now.  Well, whatever it is, I wish her well and she is now very independent now.  Lately she told me that there are a lot of events going on in her college, she is a committee member and need to be in charge of some sponsorship thingy.  One of them is to get some unique gifts for some outstanding students and I would like to suggest these  class rings high school to her.  She might find some suitable gifts here in this website and might give her some ideas in one way or another.

Two Practices In One Day

Worship practice started at 4pm and it went all the way to nearly 6pm... voices almost gone by then ... .LOL.. but I enjoyed the practice tremendously!  There are two different events actually, the earlier practice was for the Lighthouse ministry and they will be celebrating their annual anniversary on the 25th July 2013.  All are invited to join in the celebration and the group of us are going to render five songs during the occasion.  I am looking forward to the day and I hope I will be able to reach there in time.  It is still a working day for me and the event will start around 5pm... I have to rush from the office to the Lighthouse ministry which is ten minutes from my office if there is no traffic jam!

Another practice was at 5pm today and it was for the Sunday sermon tomorrow.... well, another three songs and two hymns will be rendered... the prayer by Joel this evening was short and meaningful... he prayed that we will focus on God when we sing and not for ourselves...that is what worship means!  I Amen to that... anytime!

Worship Practice

The third worship training will be on the 29th June...i am looking forward to the training session with Juwita who comes all the way from KL. she and her few musicians will be coming to Ipoh to "train" us for the worship services held every Saturday and Sunday.  They are really great, we can learn a few tips here and there to improve our vocals and not only that, the guitarists, organists and drummers also have their talents improved to a higher level.  I wanted to take up guitar lessons again and will get a fulltone ocd before I sign up for the lessons.  Well, music is indeed in my blood and I hope that I will be able to catch up the musical instruments within a few months.  I am looking forward to taking up guitar lessons and piano and of course vocal lessons as well.

An Annual Affair

My kids and I attended a church function in Johor a couple of years ago. It was a grand affair, the whole hall was packed and abundant food were served.  The invitation was extended by the Church Of Praise and my BIL booked the whole table for us...
Church of Praise... Love, Grow, Serve, Share...
Adding glamour to the dinner function, a well known singer Juwita Suwito entertained the thousand of people with songs of praise that includes Christmas songs as well.  Everyone had a good time being entertained... her voice was really great!  This is one function I will not forget and hope that we will be able to attend this year end.

Luxury Paris

My next dream trip will be in Europe and I hope that I can visit Paris, the romantic city... I would love to go for a free and easy trip with my family.  No rushing here and there, no early wake up calls and feeling exhausted during the night, we rather have our own itinerary than to follow a guided tour.  In order to plan our own tour, we must really surf for the right website and information and the most important thing to do is the lodging and accommodation.  Once this is settled, we can set forth to planning the daily tours.  There is a website whereby we can check out for luxury Paris rentals, I am sure they will be able to cater our family of four.  We need to do a lot of homework, comparing the rates and locality and I hope we can be able to find one that will accommodate our budget.  :)

My prayer

I learn a lesson.... Never promise anyone anything if you cannot promise yourself.  Do I make sense here?  I made a promise and I had broken it ... Tis had led to restlessness and some discomfort... Anywy, i have asked for orgiveness and i really feel sorry for what I have done.

"Please forgive me...Continue to nurture and discipline me... I surrender myself unto you and whatever I do, lead me on...."

This is my prayer...and I hope that in days to come, the sence of peacefulness will be present in my heart and mine...till then, only I will know that I am forgiven...

Thank you... And all praise unto You....Amen..

Employee Background Checkers

Economy is not too good nowadays, we need to be careful in our spending and budget ourselves until the next paycheck comes.  For those of us who have a steady income and job, we should be thankful because there are a lot of jobless people now and in order to survive, some have no choice but to turn to "easy money" out by committing crimes.  One of the ways to eradicate crime rate is to introduce more jobs and opportunities especially in the rural areas so that their means of living would be met.  On the other hand, the employers will usually have a hard time taking in good workers an this is where the link check background checks now come in. Read this website through and the employers will have a piece of mind on the workers who have been screened over by these professional people.

Body Check Up

Now as I reach the 50s, it is advisable to do annual body check-up. The body system is like car engine. The older we grow, the cells are slowing down. Thus it is encouraged to have a blood test annually so as to prevent and to treat any sickness before it is beyond control.

I have been doing a body check up regularly and during these last two years, I notice that my cholesterol reading is not that good anymore.  I need to take some precautions and one of them is the food intake.  And of course, the second one is exercising regularly.....

I was all ready for the body check up when this Malaysian Cohort came to our office... almost everyone had their blood check and we were being advised on what to eat and what's not... I hope I can be able to follow the do's and the don'ts...

Free Gifts

I read in the papers recently that the tax is going to increase on the cigarettes and cigars again.  I am sure many smokers will not be prepared to welcome this but on the other hand, the majority will thank the government for increasing the tax so as to discourage the people from smoking.  While I was in US, I came across a shop handing out cigar samplers and of course, I could only look at them giving out the free gifts.  But I get my round of free gifts when I was in the commissary... a sales lady was giving out free samples of perfume and I quickly lined up for that. :)

Special Gift In Us

I signed up for a worship seminar last month... there are four sessions and they are conducted by a group of professional singers from Kuala Lumpur.  This coming Saturday is the 2nd training session, too bad I missed the first one cos I was in Bangkok that time.  I hope I will be able to catch up this coming Saturday... feeling all excited to go... Music is always in my blood, though I do not know how to sing very well but the burning interest is with me... the passion is strong...
As the Bible says, each of us have a special gift in us....

Cool Designs Sunglasses

These hot sunny weather days are not over yet.  I really do not like to drive during the hot afternoons especially nowadays.  I have lost my pair of sunglasses, not really lost, I think I must have misplaced them somewhere.  Being absent minded, I cannot recall where I have put them.  If they are still not found within a week, I would have to get a new pair of sunglasses.  My eyes will not need to "suffer" any more during the day when the sun is glaring into my eyes.  I think I better check out eyesave.com for carrera sunglasses for their beautiful designs, they really look very cool and I think I will look great in them! :)

Health and Body

It is advisable to keep track of our health no matter how old we are.  Keeping ourselves fit and strong, we must have a healthy lifestyle. Not only the food that we eat but we must also have a balanced lifestyle and one of the most important thing we do each day is to exercise our body.  From the top to the bottom, each of our limbs play an important part.  It is never too late to start and it is never too early not to be healthy... So what are you going to do with your body today? :)

Speeding Up My Work

Oh dear, my office computer is having some technical problems again!  Not a good time to "conk out" definitely, there are so much work to be done. Even the technical man did not manage to get it repaired yesterday, I wonder what is wrong with the server or perhaps it is the software that is giving the problem?  I hope it will be fixed as soon as possible, there are just too much work piling up as now.  I will be going on leave tomorrow and if I know how to speed up computer, I mean if I know how to repair it, I would do it at this very minute.  Now I am so worried that my leave will not be approved.... sigh...

Changing Theme

It has been a long while since I updated this blog, I guess I cannot manage more than one blog unless I retire one day?  I thought of deleting this blog and get started all over again, this time with a different theme, well, not really a very different one, I was thinking of writing songs... yes, you heard me right... music is my passion and it might be encouraging to put up songs that relate to the oldies, the current and the future.  (Future songs means the ones I am intending to write!) hahahaha.. of course, provided I have the time and the talent which I do not have at the moment!  :)  Well, never know, one day I might surprise the whole lot of you here, including myself.... hahaha..

Stay Healthy

After my recuperation, I have to remind myself to take up exercise, a proper and fit exercise suitable for my age and my condition.  Friends suggested brisk walking and light exercises in the gym, swimming and line dancing.  Some even asked me to look for a yoga mat carrier now to prepare myself for stretching exercises later on.  Well, I am still under treatment, once I am fit and fine, I will ask for advice from the doctor.

All Glory

I really want to thank God that there is nothing serious in my swollen gland.  According to the gynae, this cyst can occur to anyone, virgin, young or old, it is just a blocked duct and the gland will swell due to it.  Doc made me go for immediate surgery under GA... it just took ten minutes of surgery, according to him.. and I went into the operation theatre with a fast thumping heart....and in an hour, I was out and pushed back to the normal ward... I will tell of more details later on...

All praise and glory to God, our Lord..

Healthy Lifestyle

Nowadays people are more health conscious already.  My brother-in-law who was an avid smoker last time had eventually gave up smoking recently.  One of the advice I heard is "never touch anything that burns in your lips, once you start, it will be difficult to end" and that includes cigars for beginners too.  Some said cigars are not as "damaging" as the cigarettes but I still love that quote above.  Don't put anything in our mouth that could lead to side effects in our bodies.  Anyway, I am glad that my BIL has given up on smoking and I hope he will start to lead a healthy lifestyle from now onwards.

MSF Night Of Celebration

Yes, it was another day of celebration again.. Methodist Senior Fellowship in the Concourse area in CGMC. I love coming by to these functions, not only the fellowship was fantastic and fun, it is also a time for worshiping and praising our Almighty God! Blessing one another with prayers and singing birthday songs to those are born during the first three months of the year and of course, after all these, the hunger of our stomach would be fully satisfied with the endless and abundant food that were laid out on the long tables...
the worshipers...
the blessings upon the Birthday girls and boys...
and the endless special homecooked food!
What more can you ask?
It is indeed a Special Night for us All...
Praise The Lord!

Musical Intrument

I am very interested in music.  If I could turn back the clock to thirty years back, I would take up music for sure!  But unfortunately, during my time, there was no such opportunity for me to pursue my studies lest alone music.  Anyway, all is not lost, I can still pursue my passion in music by singing and playing my guitar.  Awhile ago, I came across the word Oboe as one of the music instruments, have you ever heard of it?  From what I read here, an oboe is a soprano-ranged, double reed musical instrument made from a wooden tube, with metal keys, a conical bore and a flared bell.   Well, indeed it sounds interesting, something like a clarinet to me.  :)  I would love to listen to the live music of this oboe if I may, any musical instrument will portray out good music, I am sure.

SPM/STPM Crucial Moments

Now that the STPM and SPM results are out, there will be oncoming advertisements on colleges, Universities offering their assistance to the students.  There will be education fairs held in big cities to give out information to those who are pursuing their ambitions and interest.  These fairs are pretty helpful for students who have yet to make up their minds on what subjects to take, their fees, the duration of the courses and accommodation.
I remember during my girl's time when she had her results, she was still "blur" about what the course she wanted to pursue.  Both of us went to education fairs, traveled outstation to find out more about the college, applied for scholarships and attending interviews.  It is really a time of decision making.
As parents, we know this is a crucial moment unless one has already made a decision even before the results are out.  For those with financial constraints, it is another problem.  We have to seek out loans and scholarships which are so competitive that one should not expect high hopes.  With the strict competition going on, it is like applying for the sake of applying and after that, do not dwell on it.  Then disappointment will not be so great.

Moral Support Is Important

Something I came across today in the online website as I was surfing for news on today's happenings.  There are so many cases of depression in families, in individuals that cause a lot of sadness and uncertainty to human hearts.  But on the positive side, if there are encouragement and moral support from friends and families, the dependency on drugs can be overcome and one of the solutions is to register in the best rehab center.  It is important to focus on the root cause of an individual patient's issues and from there, something positive can be worked out with the help of trained staff and professionals.

Birthday Celebration

It was a time of celebration... a birthday event, one of our cell group member's celebrated her birthday in her house... such a sweet birthday with family members and close friends.  She is such a strong lady, spiritually strong though she couldn't walk or talk properly but her joy, her smiles, her laughter is something we really admire in her.  Through trials and tribulations, she still stay strong and positive.. cos she knows that our Good Lord is with her ... to provide, to protect, to bless her...
Happy Birthday Winnie!
May our Good Lord continues to bless you with joy and love!

Passion For Guitars

There is supposed to be cell group tonight in Jennifer's place but I just received a call from her that a few of the cell members have fallen sick and they were not able to go.  She added that the only person who anticipated in going tonight is the worship leader, he is the main guitarist in our group now.  In fact when he is around in our cell group, he makes music come alive with his guitars.  His passion for music fills our hearts with worship and one time I even asked him to sell me one of his old guitars.  I am all willing to buy from him and I know that he is saving up to get one of these Alvarez Guitars.  Once he has bought it, he will bring it to our cell group...

Honesty In Her

This afternoon my colleagues and I went to Secret Recipe for lunch.  We ordered our individual meals and then I ordered a piece of cake to share among the three of us.  After we finished our meal, my colleague went to the counter to pay.  From the bill, we began to pay our individual share and then we realized that the cake was not printed in the bill.  My colleague looked at me and asked me to go and enquire... but I told her that since she was the one who paid, she should go and asked from the same cashier.  Reluctantly she went and asked the cashier why the cake was not charged... the cashier looked at her in amazement or should I say amusement?  She must be very surprised that there is such an honest customer!  :)  Well, this shows that my colleague is indeed very honest and reliable when it comes to money.... kudos to her!

Prevention and Protection Comes Together

Nowadays I never subscribe to hardcopy newspaper anymore, I update myself with online news and have been doing that for the past few years.  One of the reasons for not buying newspaper is that I do not want to read distressing news each day.  Murders, robberies, kidnapping, rape, lives lost in fires and many more tragedies that bring sorrow and pain when I read about them.  I prefer to read the do and don'ts, how to prevent or avoid such tragedy and recently I went for a seminar talk on how to "survive" in a city, literally.
City survival is for the ladies especially the teens and the young adults, how to prevent oneself from being stalked and become a victim of rape and murder which has been happening rampantly these days.  The speaker has taken efforts to analyze case after case, why and how it happened and what are the ways to avoid such mishap.  In cases like fires, he recommended that we should invest in some protection and one of them is getting some fire blankets for home.  With these anti-fire blankets, the percentage of getting burnt is low, accidents do happen at home, especially with small kids and toddlers, it is best that we keep some household protection.  As the saying goes, it is advisable to invest in some protection and get some prevention.

A Traumatic Experience

As a mother, I can feel the anguish and the trauma of the parents whose son is still missing.  I can still remember one time when my own son wandered off by himself when he was three or four years of age.  My husband and I were in the shopping mall and each of us took for granted that I was holding my son's hand and vice versa when we were walking among the crowd.  Then when we realized that my second son has wandered off without us knowing, we really panicked!  We separated ways to look for him ... and after few minutes we found him walking in the opposite direction crying away.... oh Gosh.. imagine our relief!!  Immediately, my husband wanted to go home.. no mood to shop anymore after the  feeling of fear and the panic...

This clearly shows me that I cannot blame any mother or father for losing their child.. sometimes it just happens without a slightest thought that our kids can just walk off by themselves.. we are just not prepared for that.. but only after experiencing it in real, we learn a lesson... that is, never take for granted.. we must really be real... get real... think real... don't let other thoughts get into our way especially when our small kids are with us..

Cheap And Nice

Talking about cheap used instruments, it gives me an idea that perhaps I should get a second hand guitar instead of buying  a new one.  My friend suggested that a used guitar is good choice too, something like "seasoned" strings on the guitar and it gives better sound effect.  Yes, I believe it and not only it is better, the price of a used guitar is comparatively cheaper than a new one.   It gives me an idea, I might sell my current guitar for a cheaper rate and exchange it for another "second-hand" guitar with better effect.  This way I will not have to spend a lot, right? :)

Obesity In Malaysia

Today I read the Star news in amusement... it is written that Malaysia is now rated as the fattest country in South-East Asia!  According to our Health Minister, this title is not glorious.  I nearly laughed out loud when I read that.

Well, I really do not have any doubt about that.  Who are we to blame for our obesity?  No one but us... we are of mixed culture and having mixed culture, food is surely different as well.  And I, for one, love food so much that I travel just to taste the good food... LOL...

One thing I know for sure... we Malaysians have too much varieties of food.. most of them are so tasty that one cannot resist having more than three meals per day....

So...what shall we do, Malaysians?  How do we keep fit and healthy  with all the food temptations around us each day?  Tell me...

Winter Clothing

I remember it was freezing cold when I went to Korea during the winter a couple of years ago, I have never experienced such coldness.  Even my kids were shivering in their winter clothing, gloves and woolen caps.  But despite the cold weather, our family trip is very memorable.  We had a lot of fun traveling as a family and if there is another opportunity, we would love to go during winter again.  But this time we must equip ourselves with the proper winter clothing and we canfind patagonia on sale here in this website.

Christmas Caroling

Oh dear... this is a backlog post no doubt about that.. but then I need to post it up for remembrance sake.  This one is kind of special because I got invited to a Christmas party by a neighbor staying few houses away from me.  We know each other by signt only because I always walk Labbie in the evenings and I always pass this house.  One day the owner of the house came out and called me... not by name but by saying Good evening.. are you free on such date?  And knowing he is a christian too, I accepted readily and I was so glad that I went.  Christmas is indeed a time to worship our Jesus Christ as one family regardless which church we go to....

Playing With Mitzi

I love playing with Mitzi while I was holidaying in my sister's ranch in Sacramento.  Mitzi is her pet mongrel, she is a very intelligent dog and while we were there, she loves to play catch with us.  What I usually do each morning is to throw a frisbee in the air and she will quickly run after it and jumped up to catch hold of the frisbee!  Even I am writing this, my heart feels enlightened just imagining the scenerio in my mind.  The next time I go, I know what to get for Mitzi, it would be great to give her a new frisbie and I can even get some beautiful personalized frisbees  over here in this website!

Farewell Gathering

Our church pastor is now Reverend Thomas... Pastor Jeya has been promoted and now residing in Petaling Jaya.  Before he left, he gave us the last sermon on Christmas Day and after the service, the church gave him a farewell lunch and also to commemorate the birth of Christ.
The crowd outside the concourse after the service...
listening to the farewell speech ...
We wish our Pastor all the best...
Many of us miss him... his sermons...
They are very dynamic...
Hope he will come back to church on and off to give sermons again...

I do most of my computer work in my own bedroom because I love to multi task.  With the laptop on the bed and sitting on a low chair, I will watch television and at the same time, I will surf the Internet.  But lately my back is giving me some kind of ache and my friends advised me to look into these computer carts at standsandmounts and get one suitable for myself.  They told me that I am not young anymore, I need to have a proper table to do my work and not to put my laptop on the bed.  It is also dangerous in a way, don't you think so?  Yes, I will certainly look into these computer carts and get one for myself.

Birthday Celebration

We had a small celebration the other day.. one of the cell group member's birthday and each of us brought some food to our cell leader's house, sort of a pot bless. When each of us bring something, the table will surely be filled with Food Glorious Food... that makes us very happy!!
Here we are.. the ladies in all smiles...
This is part of the food... there are more... on another table..
And before we partake, we sang our praise songs...
To thank our Lord for His blessings upon our lives...
And to bless the food for our bodily needs...
Praise The Lord....

Job Vacancies

I was told that the world economy is not strong and many people are being "laid off" in one way or another.  When I was holidaying in Sacramento, my sister also mentioned something about jobs being scarce and that we cannot afford to choose our jobs anymore like we used to.  But recently I came across this website that brings some good news to those who are seeking jobs.  For those looking for jobs, they can now submit these dillons application which has hourly position needing to be filled in throughout all Dillions store locations.  From what I read here, they have vacancies for cashier, bagger, stock clerk and grocery clerk jobs.  Well, this will be a good time to log in and find out more for yourself if you are looking for a job.

City Survival Talk Not To Be Missed

Quite some time ago, my friend called me up to attend a City Survival Talk in Heritage Hotel here in Ipoh.  I was quite reluctant at first, I dread going to talks and seminars but I felt not nice for rejecting not once but few times already... so I felt very embarrassed to reject one more time again.

And.... after going to listen to that Talk by Captain Bala, I really wanted to Thank my friend for not giving up on me!  The City Survival presented by Captain Bala was indeed very emotional and educational, I am so glad that I brought my girl along to listen.  And not only her alone, I brought another two friends along too.  Really no regrets....

If Captain Bala is coming by to Ipoh again, do remember, Ladies, this is not to be missed, you must go and experience what is in store... now with our unsafe society, ladies must learn to be smart.... and play safe.....

Manufacturing Factory

My friend's husband is in the machinery line and she always used to tell me that her husband comes home very exhausted whenever there is a new project on making shaft couplings in the factory.  Her husband told her that his eyes were very tired due to the concentration on the mouldings, they are too minute for his eyes.  But lately things changed for the better, the factory boss had decided to order the shaft couplings from online websites in bulks rather than manufacturing them.  No doubt the profit will be less but then the cost production will be reduced. Anyway, now my friend does not complain anymore about her husband's fatigue, he is now transferred to another department where he does not have to do manufacturing on the minute items in the factory.

Singing And Praising

The night started off with some worship songs and we have prepared and practised a few songs to commemorate the occasion.

My friends and I love singing and we had a good time singing praises to our Lord.  The night was joyful and everyone had a good time interacting with one another.  The young and old enjoyed themselves tremendously, food was abundant, a magic show was also performed.  But since the next day was a working day, we ended our party early around 10pm and by the time we packed up, it was almost 11pm.  Well, we had a good time and I hope those who came have been blessed by our good Lord.

Salon Pos System

Someone asked me, "where do I buy a salon pos system?"  Well, I think I have an answer for him.  He can log in to this website to get all he needs to have.   From what I know is that a Basic Salon and Spa System comes complete with a personal computer, cash drawer, laser barcode scanner, impact printer, 17" monitor and an appropriate software.  This is what my friend needs for his business, I hope he has all the information in this website.  As for me, I only need a basic laptop for my daily work, checking emails, publishing my posts in my blog and of course, keeping in touch with my friends through Facebook!

Invitation To My Colleague

For the past few weeks, our non stop celebration parties kept going on and on.  Thanks to our cell group leader who is very actively arranging all these events on behalf of our cell group and inviting non-Christians to the parties.  Each of us were assigned to invite at least one friend to the party and I was stunned when my colleague accepted the invitation.  I am glad that she did come to the event party and I hope to see her in church one day.
Praise The Lord!

A Gift For Him

Andy's birthday is coming soon... I am still thinking about what to buy for him, shirts and pants are commonly bought each year.  When I asked him the other day what he wanted for his birthday, he told me that he hasn't thought about it yet and told me not to waste money buying something that he does not need.  Yeah, he has a point there.  But I remember some time ago, he mentioned that he needs a watch, he does not have one at the moment and I think he will like one, something like this TAG Heuer over here.  They are so classic looking and their designs are really exquisite looking.  I think I will allow him to choose one in this website within a certain budget. :)
