Vocal Workshop

There are some activities going on in church which I am not aware of, thanks to my sister who is an active volunteer in church, she knows what is going on and what going to be on. Firstly there will be a worship workshop on the 9th May and someone from Trinity Church is coming by to give us some vocal lessons. The way she told me sounds like an American Idol kind of thing. Those who are attending this workshop has to get ready a song to be sung in front of him/her so that some training will be effective. I like it... well, I will just go look see... I havent filled in the form yet, in fact, I dont have... but attending the workshop will be interesting!

Ever Forgiving

Exodus 13:21 says Covered, Protected, Delivered

God covers the Israelites, show them the way and deliver them from darkness....
Today Jesus covered us with His blood, pretected us from all harm and evil and deliver us from our sins and death...
We just have to look up to Jesus, who is the perfect author of our Faith...
He who looks up upon Him lives ....
Though I have sinned again and again, I always ask humbly before Him to forgive me... to cleanse my thoughts and helped me to avoid tempations.... He is ever forgiving...

Proclaim And Declare

Luke 13:12 is about Prayers That Proclaim...
1) Proclaim - God is ever willing
2) Declare - God has done it

We do not need to plead or beg, it means God is not willing to do it... We proclaim God's goodness and mercy and we declare He is our everything, God establishes it.
God neds our proclamation and declaration. He is an ever forgiving God who knows our hearts desires even before we pray. We need a savior ever before we were born and He sends His one and only Son, Jesus Christ to save us from our sins and death...

A Poem For You

One poem I want to share over here in my blog....

THIRST FOR YOU, OH LORD
FILL MY HEART'S DESIRE
YOUR LOVE COVERS ME
INTO YOUR HANDS I COMMIT
SWALLOW ME IN YOUR LOVE
RELEASE ME OF ALL FEARS
DOUBTS THAT NEED TO BE FLOWN AWAY
HEART TO HEART WITH YOU, LORD
AMEN TO THY PRAISES
AMEN TO YOU, LORD.....

Hope that edifies and keep our day in love with our Lord...

Beautiful Sunday

Just called up Tammy, she will be coming for lunch... When I told her we are going to Sushi King for our meals, she gave a laugh... cos I know she does not like to eat Japanese food. But I told her she must follow...haha.... cos that was my kids' choice...they have been talking about that since yesterday and I promise to take them today.
Well, hope we will have a wonderful time later on....
God Bless!

Getting "Older"

My kids are still sleeping.... how wonderful to see their peaceful faces.... though they are not babies anymore, when I looked at them, I can recall how they look like when they were toddlers.....
sigh..time really passes fast....its been more than 12 years since they have a single parent...
I am so glad they can cope with that pretty well...
As for me, I pray that my toughest time has gone and all that remains will leave me peace and quiet... at least for my age now....
God, I do not think I will be as strong as I was 12 years ago...

Sunday Service

Just came back from my Sunday worship... it went on well except that the songs might be too long cos of repetition instructed by our leader. Worry that the congregation might find themselves out of breath...haha.... but nothing is too long for our Lord, right?
Came out after the last worship song and went out for breakfast with Christine in Perak Stadium. She was in tears again when I climbed in her car... but later she was okay.....
I will continue to pray for her for strength and comfort....

God Is Good All The Time

In Proverbs, it is written "A merry heart does good like medicine but a broken spirit drips the bones." Continuing from the previous post, this verse tells us to be happy that we are in our Lord's arms all the time for God is Good...

We are His children, under His scrutiny, our cares and burdens God is handling....He knows our feelings, our moves....

Worry Not

Matthew 6:34 says Therefore do not worry about tomorrow for tomorrow will worry about its own things....

Why is this verse written like this? Do we really not have to worry? God says, "My grace is sufficient fo ryou" but that does not mean we need not have to work. We still must do our responsibilities in this earth, do what we ought to do, just that we do not need to worry or over stressing ourselves up. As in our daily prayers that Jesus taught us "Give us today our daily bread".....

God supplies our needs....

GOLF

Mr Tang was the preacher tonight and he spoke on God's strength in us, His ever faithfulness to us, He will never forsake nor leave us...
And he mentioned the word GOLF... though he loves to play golf, he has stopped this game due to health and now this word GOLF has another meaning in his life.
G - God
O - Our
L - Loving
F - Father

Now this Golf has become a part of his life and he will sticks by it no matter what. How about us? Do we want to accept GOLF into our lives forever and let nothing comes between us? Will we be ever faithful to GOLF? Lets pray that we will continue to be so.....

Worship Songs Tonight

Just back from church service.. the worship tonight touched my heart and my tears flew down endlessly while in worshiping.
You are my strength, strength like no other
You are my hope, hope like no other...
Lord You are always here with me...
Be Still....
all these words gave me edification and while singing, I was thinking of how awesome God is and I regretted one thing....
I did not make any effort in bringing my fren to church tonight...she needs our Lord... she is broken hearted at this moment of time....
Perhaps she will find relief and comfort in hearing our God's words....

Online Education With Capella University

My son Andy will be starting college next week, taking up Electronics and Electrical Engineering for four and a half years. Hope he will be able to cope up with the credit hours in the college, it is rather an expensive college, so each hour counts.

Talking about degrees and college, I wish that I could have an opportunity during my younger days to pursue my studies. Due to poverty those days, my siblings and I did not have enough finances to do our degrees. But nowadays it is different. Now online education is made possible for adults, working people like me. One of the universities that offer online education is Capella University. According to their website, they offer graduate degree programs in business, information technology, education, human services, psychology, public health, and public safety, and bachelor’s degree programs in business, information technology, and public safety.

Besides that Capella has more than 20,000 students from all 50 states and 56 countries. That proves that they are committed to providing high-caliber academic excellence and pursing balanced business growth. In fact to date, Capella University is the first and currently only online university to receive accreditation from CACREP for two master’s degree specializations. Well, with the information above, I guess Capella is one of the finest online university that is really dedicated to all students who entrusted themselves into their academic fields.

Strength Overcome Pain

How long did I grieve for him? I really do not know but for one thing I am sure, that is, God is always with me, in me and for me during those bad times....
He knows how much I can endure... and He will not allow this to happen if I do not have the strength to go through this situation.
I do not know why I am chosen to be like this... but I do thank God for His love and mercy upon us... He has carry us through times of sadness and pain...
And now I do believe that He can use me to be a tool ... to give comfort to others ... that is the least I can do.. and I hope He will help me through....

Righteousness

Righteousness as in Romans 4:5

From my understanding of this verse, I believe that we are made right not by our works or being righteous each day, but through the Grace of God and the sacrificial of Jesus dying on the cross for us all, that makes us righteous.

Do not allow our wrongdoing bring us down. Whenever we feel lousy, God wants us to exercise our faith to see for ourselves. Whatever happens, it is not because we are not morally upright. We are made righteous through the eyes of God and let us stay that way...

(My thoughts, my views)

The Trinity

I have not been going to church for the past two weeks... both weeks I was not in IPOH... and I think next week I am also not be able to go as well.
(Forgive me Lord)
But the cell meeting on Friday was quite edifying, talking about the book of Revelations. As discussed, a few of us have different views as we went through some verses. Then Zone Supervisor told us that whatever is written in there has one thing in common. All linked up to our Lord Jesus Christ, the bridegroom who will be coming soon to meet His bride, ie the church.
When I read through Revelations, I find that it has the most terrifying effect, with all the tribulations mentioned and the sufferings we have to go through. But I do not want to dwell on that too much.... I still believe that there is only one True God, the Trinity, Father, Son and The Holy Spirit. The rest is secondary....

Wonderful God!

I remember last time my cell leader used to tell us that nothing is too big or small for God... no matter what our problems or troubles are, we can just lay them down before Him...
This remind me of a small tiny problem... i m sure we face that now and then..ie. looking for parking during peak seasons in shopping malls...

Last time i used to think that parking problems should be solved by ourselves, dont trouble our God..right? But now, i think otherwise.... haha...
After looking for a parking for nearly half hour, i was so desperated... i felt like turning back.. then i remember "why not i start to pray?" no harm.... i started to mumble...a short prayer..
Well, dont u believe it... He answered almost straightaway...when i turned the corner, one lady was just reversing her car out ....hahhaahah...it was unbelievable!!

Furthermore, the parking was just next to the lift...my goodness... ain't God WONDERFUL!!

Bible Study

During one of the sermons lately, my pastor recommended a book to the congregation. I forgot what the title was but I know it was sort of a guidance book on how to read and meditate on Bible verses. As for me, I do my daily prayers by reading the Bible and interceding with God before I sleep. For the past year, I have been reading Devotional verses and writing a journal on the Bible verses that touches me.

Today I stumbled upon this website, it is about this new book Learn to Study the Bible by Pastor Andy Deane. It relates to us on Bible study methods, in fact, there are 40 different ways on how to do devotional study. The steps are simple, I just read through the sample chapter just now, it is more like the journal I was doing too. God's words are simple if we dedicate more of our time to focus on Him. As my pastor used to say, Let God speaks to us instead of us talking all the time. He speaks through Bible verses and this new book by Pastor Andy Deane might be able to help us Christians to know more about our Living God. Let us spend a quiet time with Him each day....

The Helpless

Psalms 63:7 God Helps The Helpless but do the helpless turn to God for help?
Like me, at times I am self focussed, I make my own decisions and when there seems to be no other way, then I remember God... isn't that unethical? I always seem to be solving my own problems insted of turning to Him...
But God says.. John 15:5, Without Me, you can do nothing....
So I believe no matter how big or small a problem is, we can still rely on God's strength. Let us try to tell Him all our problems and God will pave ways for us.

Thank God

I am finally home from my Shanghai Trip.... Thank God for this wonderful refreshing trip where I can really see new things, places created by God... so much to awe about... it was indeed a fascinating trip. Thank God for His blessings for protecting us, making the trip smooth with no mishaps.

Though the trip was quite hectic, I am thankful that all of us did not fall sick, it was pretty cold and windy but overall, it was a great experience...

Thank God for this wonderful trip!

Baptism On Saturday Service

Last night we had the Saturday service with the baptism as well for the first time together. Praise The Lord for the new members and children of Christ Jesus being baptised. Pastor Jeyakumar was giving his sermon on prayers and it was a very good edification for all of us. He emphasized on our prayers together as a family and as a church. God loves listening to our prayers, it need not be long and windy, as long as we feel in our hearts to worship Him and talk to Him, He is always there to listen... but we also need not just to talk but to listen to Him too..
How? Try it tonight, be still for some moments and focus on Him... have Faith and Believe....

Cell Meeting

Tomorrow the cell meeting will be led by my sister, Chun... she is very good in leading us into words. Good cos she reads all the chapters involved and does her homework each week... Me? I am the lazy one, shameful to say, I will only read when the times comes....and will listen to what others were to say. It is quite interesting at times, to know more of the Bible and to listen to their explanations too, sometimes our opinions might differ but overall, we have fun edifying each other.

The songs for tomorrow night are "Jesus, You are my Firm Foundation" and for the second song, I think I will choose In Christ Alone... I better get the lyrics ready for tomorrow...
