Growing To Be Like Jesus

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too that God may open a door for our message so that we mayproclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders, make the most of every opportunity.

Let our conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt so that you may know how to answer everyone. Colossians 4: 2-6

My Pastor Came...

Just came back from cell group meeting. Tonight Pastor came to our meeting for the first time, in the beginning we were quite conscious of him being with us. But praise God, as the discussions started off, most of us felt very at ease and comfortable and started to ask him questions we have never ask any other pastors before. Oh, that was what I felt, actually, but after having him in our group tonight, I look forward to him attending our next meeting again.

I posted a question to him tonight for this has been in my mind. I asked, "if i were to drop dead tonight, pastor, where would I "land?" Everyone was quiet, he looked at me... for a moment.. then he answered, "U will be in heaven." Wow.. that was a very reassuring answer and I love it! Then he continued on explaining that our souls/spirits will ascend up to heaven and WHEN Jesus comes again, our Bodies will be resurrected as well. But until then, first our souls... But if Jesus comes when we are still alive, then we will be resurrected in "one piece." Isn't that Great?

Serving Our Lord..

Joshua:24 : 15 says... Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve... But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

In our lives, we often make our own choices instead of talking over to our Lord, we tend to decide there and then on important issues. I for one, do that all the time. I do things too fast at times, never really sitting down to ponder over, there and then, I do it and it brings negative feedbacks at times. I am trying to slow down before "jumping the gun" , I am learning how to and will do. Drastic actions will bring about consequences which might not please us... so why not sit back and talk to Him before we decide? As the Bible says, as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.. serving the Lord means letting Him have a hand above all things...

Worship Practice

Just came back from church practice with my sister. It was a wonderful time getting together with my sis and the whole worship team, though it was just an hour of practice, the time of worship is always refreshing. OH... I forgot again... the hymns are my weakest point, yes, I dont know much about hymns and what I should do is to record it while singing so that I can practise them these few days before Sunday service. Next time I must remember to use my hp to record it.. Lord, help me to remember...

Last night sermon by Pastor Jeyakumar was another overwhelming one... my friend who is not a Christian yet, was touched by his sermon. In fact, it was very crowded and I believe God is moving in this church and ministering through our pastor. He spoke on families, God gave him a verse in Isiah 64, if i m not mistaken, to build the ruins and help the desolate. Pastor felt that IPOH has many broken families in need of God's intervension, marriages that fail is plentiful here. He seeks us to help those in dire need... seek some consultation from the church courses... there is a marriage course for married couples, happy or unhappy couples, all are welcome to attend this short 2 days course....
