Evangelism, R U Comfortable?

The thought of talking to a non-Christian about God makes me "shake with fear." Why? I really don't know, is it lack of confidence in speaking or lack of knowledge for I believe God in faith, not by theological knowledge. I might end up mumbling incoherently and wish desperately for a safer place.

As I read this article, it says here "lets be honest, evangelism is tough for 99 percent of Christians, it can seem impossible! We can take the stress out of evangelism when we understand whatGod expects of us. He doesn't ask us to do something that's too difficult for us. Paul was teh master of evangelism, so let's learn from him. It's not easy, but it's not impossible."

Conversation Filled With Grace

Let us converse with Grace...

Words are powerful! They can cut deep and leave scars that will last a lifetime. Careless jabs can hurt een more than intentional attacks. Our world needs conversations filled with grace. Rather than practicing one-upmanship, offer a compliment. Instead of correcting every little mistake, offer grace and let teh mistake pass without correcting it. Consider dropping sarcasm in favor of encouragement. Anyone who offers grace is a breath of fresh air in the world!!

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful. And pray for us, too that God may open a door for our message so that we mayproclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains. Pray that I may proclaim it clearly, as I should. Be wise in the way you act toward outsiders, make the most of every opportunity.

My Pastor Came...

Just came back from cell group meeting. Tonight Pastor came to our meeting for the first time, in the beginning we were quite conscious of him being with us. But praise God, as the discussions started off, most of us felt very at ease and comfortable and started to ask him questions we have never ask any other pastors before. Oh, that was what I felt, actually, but after having him in our group tonight, I look forward to him attending our next meeting again.

I posted a question to him tonight for this has been in my mind. I asked, "if i were to drop dead tonight, pastor, where would I "land?" Everyone was quiet, he looked at me... for a moment.. then he answered, "U will be in heaven." Wow.. that was a very reassuring answer and I love it! Then he continued on explaining that our souls/spirits will ascend up to heaven and WHEN Jesus comes again, our Bodies will be resurrected as well. But until then, first our souls... But if Jesus comes when we are still alive, then we will be resurrected in "one piece." Isn't that Great?

Serving Our Lord..

Joshua:24 : 15 says... Choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve... But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.

In our lives, we often make our own choices instead of talking over to our Lord, we tend to decide there and then on important issues. I for one, do that all the time. I do things too fast at times, never really sitting down to ponder over, there and then, I do it and it brings negative feedbacks at times. I am trying to slow down before "jumping the gun" , I am learning how to and will do. Drastic actions will bring about consequences which might not please us... so why not sit back and talk to Him before we decide? As the Bible says, as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.. serving the Lord means letting Him have a hand above all things...
