India Rape Victim Succumbed To Injuries

It was devastating that the 23 year old young medical student had undergone such brutal and torturing hour under the hands of six merciless sadistic men.  The horror and terrifying hour she has to go through, it is unimaginable... may she rest in peace....

I heard on the radio this morning that she has finally succumbed to her injuries, as written in the Star,
"She was courageous in fighting for her life for so long against the odds but the trauma to her body was too severe for her to overcome," Kelvin Loh, chief executive officer of the Mount Elizabeth Hospital in Singapore said in a statement announcing her death from multiple organ failure.

Thank God for the one witness who is still alive, the justice to bring the guilty ones will be prevailed soon!

Harvest Event For Christmas

Part of the food pictures taken from the Harvest Event.. I am not doing much justice to the food, there are many others served, the chicken pies, spaghetti, finger food sandwich sushi, carrot and butter cakes and much more...

Besides the food, my cell leader gave a meaningful message about her life transformed when she came to know our good Lord during her younger days working in the hospital.  Today she is so thankful that she is blessed with a good family, a nice home while growing closer to Him daily.

Such is our Lord God, He is good to us all the time... In His time, all our prayers are answered... and everything that happens has a reason....
Our Christmas event ended with songs of praise and worship...

Love Gift

Christmas is just two days away, I have not bought anything for my kids as yet.  Maybe we have not been practising giving presents to each other for a few years now.  Maybe the reason is due to the fact that our birthdays are around Christmas each year, from October, November, January and February, these are our birthday months in the family.  That is why we seldom buy presents for each other during Christmas... but we do lavish ourselves during this festive season because mostly are on sales and promotions in the malls and online websites.  My son is eyeing this pinaud because he loves to dash himself with soothing powder after his shower.  The price is cheap and reasonable, I can afford that.. LOL...

Harvest Event 2012

We had our Harvest Event at Jennifer's house last two weeks, each of us member had a part to play. We started off with a prayer of thanksgiving and some worship songs before the food was "attacked"... hahahaa...
Belting out some songs after the food...
A message was rendered too.. testimony...
there was also a magic show for the kids.. and er... adults as well..
the food being displayed on the table..
and in no time, they were all finished..
Anyway, it is not all about food...
We hope to "plant some seeds" for our guests..
and pray that God will do the rest.. :)

Multi Touch Attribution

Today's modern technology has advanced to a level that you need to keep on catching with the latest research.  Given a specific time if you lack out in the latest development, the marketing technology will once again become a "blur" to us.  Have you ever heard of MultiTouch Attribution?  Want to know more about it?  Here is a brief introduction on what a multi-touch attribution means.

It all starts with your company or your marketing strategy, this Multi-Touch attribution plays a huge part in all points especially in the sales funnel, it aims to place a value at every point, that is between the customer and your good self, the marketer until the customer makes a purchase.  In other words, no matter how big or small in the sales funnel, this Multi-Touch attribution play an important role in the conversion metrics.
Let's touch on the techniques.  There are three basic requirements in attributing to this multi-touch marketing for instance, number one point is the lapsed time from initial impressions clicks to conversion, followed by understanding the touch points (ie. to find out more details into your analytics) and finally, the third point assigning conversions to the right touch points.  I am only pointing out the basic information here, there are lots of information on this attribution and do log into their website for more details on marketing strategies.

My Say On PMR Results

The PMR results are out this morning... that reminds me, yes, school is going to reopen soon and most students will be excited to go school again....ooops... I wrote ""most"... OK?  It stands for those who have just taken their results and I am sure these students are looking forward towards another level academically.  ON the other hand, some might not be ecstatic as the others, disappointment and some unexpected results might turn off their schooling mode.

Straight A's or crooked, let not take this PMR as your life line decision.  There are still two years more to improve oneself at the next level.  Speaking from experiences I came across before, there were many of my friends who had done poorly in PMR and that was not "the end of the world" for them.  To many unexpected parents and school teachers, these "dark horses" galloped furiously during their next two years, Form 4 and 5 and scored amazing results for their SPM... so remember, all is not lost when one did badly in important exams.  My deduction is... some young people mature later than the others and when they really do know the importance of good academic results is, they will "gallop" to the finishing line with great determination and confidence.

Wedding Venues

This is the time of the year where weddings are taking place every now and then in churches, in registry office and even lately, the beautiful gardens in my city were swarmed with wedding couples taking photographs.  Big posh restaurants and ballrooms were fully booked to accommodate wedding receptions and dinners.  It is not surprising that these places were booked one year in advance!  Yes, wedding venues are most important when it comes to couples tying the knots.  Nowadays we need wedding planners to get things running smoothly for this special occasion.  It is worth leaving this important event in the hands of the professionals and experts who are fully experienced in organizing big parties and making sure that everything is running smoothly.  After all, a wedding is not just a wedding, it is something sacred and as the Bible says, what God has united, it will be forever.
There are many websites to look into for interesting ideas and suggestions.  Check out their wedding venues and most probably you will get what you need, all within your means.  With the wedding planners to assist in this event,  it will become a legend, a memorable moment that  you will cherish this beautiful event for the rest of your life.

Any Day Could Be Doomsday

Doomsday on December 21st?  Preparations being taken place?  Survival kits are announced on Astro too!  Today in the STAR online news as well... Do You Believe In Doomsday?

I believe in Doomsday but if stated on the 21st, I do not really accept that.  Maybe I really truly cannot accept that as what was shown in the movie in 2009... that was three years back and the movie is called 2012.  I have watched it and it was kind of terrifying... but I do believe that one day the world will pass on...  one day.. when we are all caught off-guarded...

I am not well versed in planets and astrology, what I am more interested in is to prepare myself emotionally when the time comes.  Spiritually I have a HOPE that remains in my heart.. death on earth means gain...

Philippinans 1:21 says.. For to me, to live is for Christ, to die is gain... (meeting Christ)

While we wait upon doomsday, let our hearts be spiritually prepared for His coming... be it day or night... 21st, 22nd or any day of the year....

Festive Happenings In London

Planning to go to London for Christmas and not knowing where to chill out?  Let me give you some suggestions … ahem….  Here are some interesting programs and do not fret about where to go or things to do in London.  There are so much “Going-Ons” especially when everyone is on Christmas mood now.  Celebrating this festive season is one of the most important events of the year.
Firstly, let us give Thanks to our God for this one year’s of blessing upon us and we pray that He will continue to guide and give directions in our lives.  Secondly, to commemorate this season, we go to church to worship and give Him praise! Yes!
And for those of us who loves parties, we can get to celebrate in Christmas eve in Winter Wonderland that starts at 10pm to 3am in the morning!  Not only that, there are so many more places to usher in the New Year 2013!  Make a date with Radio1 DJ Scott Mills or join in the Carnival at Balls Brothers Victoria!  All these are rather new to me but I do get the updates every now and then from these Happening websites.  Oh, how I wish I could make a trip to London for this festive season, it will be a memorable time for me, I am sure!

Tunku Abdul Rahman Scholarship Scheme

It is announced that that Tunku Abdul Rahman foundation has a new scholarship scheme for high-achievers who have completed their first year of undergraduate studies at local institutions.

Indeed this is good news for those eligible who scores good CGPA of 3.5 and above.  These new scholarships includes tuition fees and a monthly allowance of RM600!
Well, I hope this will truly apply and rewarded to those who really needs the financial assistance and to those who really have the potential and the determination to pursue in their studies.

It might not be so easy to become a scholarship holder for this TAR foundation but nevertheless, there is still a chance, a slim chance is all it takes....

Property Sales In Turkey

Many of my friends have visited Turkey and came back telling that it is one of their memorable trips they have ever visited.  I believe that it is true, none have come back giving negative comments and the way they described Turkey’s main attraction, I got more and more excited!

Traveling to new places is one of my passion, I am not young anymore nor feeling too old to travel, I feel that this is the best time for me to do some traveling before I really retire for good.  I have bookmarked Turkey as one of my dream trips which I hope I will visit one day.  Lately I read in some articles that there are many foreign investors interested in the property for sale in Instanbul.  Feeling curious about their market value on the property, I clicked onto their website and to my amazement, their property is really not that expensive at all.

There is a wide range of apartments, villas and condominiums for sale and one of the most popular ones is found from Spot Blue.  Their prices, as I have mentioned, are not way too high and according to some investors, buying property in Turkey for investment is something you will never regret.  Well, I am no expertise in property investment but one thing I know for sure is that I would love to visit this country one day!

Rampage Shootout In Connecticut

It is really devastating when I read today's highlight on the shooting rampage that happened in this quiet and peaceful Newtown in Connecticut, the worst mass shootings in U.S. history.  Really saddening especially when the lives taken were of twenty school children, poor innocent lives of these kids who had not really understand the cruelty of the world today.

Imagine the anguish and the trauma of the victims' families, the parents, the siblings... never would one expect that the next minute, their love ones are not around anymore... it is indeed the worst nightmare one can ever want to think of.....
Even when we are worlds apart, many of us share the anguish and the tears for these poor kids and their families...

Consolation and comfort is most needed now...
The question is... how to avoid such incidents from happening, it can be anywhere.... is it the society's fault?  Or is it the emotional stress that cause this to happen?

In a moving speech by Monsignor Robert Weiss, he was quoted as saying this...
"Life has changed forever in Newtown... we have 20 new saints today... we have 20 beautiful angels."

God bless these little angels who have gone to join Him....

My Travel Mood Is On Again!

If all goes well according to plans, I would be taking a two weeks vacation to London early next year.  Meanwhile my son and I are making plans right now, there are so much to look into.  But with the easy access to the Internet nowadays, planning for a holiday is really easy.   There are so many websites to look into, firstly, to check out the flight tickets, comparing their rates and the time of the flights.  Secondly, when it comes to looking for accommodation with affordable rates, all we need is to come by here in this website.  Just log in to the TravelStay link and we can check out their hundreds of London bed and breakfast hotels  within the London itself, such as Notting Hill, Kensington district, Paddington, Kings Cross to name a few.  They come with cheap accommodation that values for money and most important, they are  close to London Gatwick and Heathrow airport.  Besides that, we can tour around the city attraction such as the Big Ben and the London Eye.
Well, it has been more than 20 years since I last visited London and I am looking forward to my second visit next year.  Just thinking of this trip makes me excited!

Special Events To Host

This is the summer time of the year and it is the best time to "tie a knot."  Wedding bells are in the air and there are lots of wedding invitations being sent out.  Restaurants and ballrooms are fully booked, I heard but worry not, you can still have the wedding going on.  There are Estate Wedding event locations for rent and all you have to do is to log into their website to choose the place where you want to hold your important event.  Besides weddings, there are many locations for rental that can host family reunions, retreats, conferences and other special events besides weddings.

In fact holding in these type of well-manicured lawns can be very special for your events.  I remember attending a wedding event taken place in a very special vast lawn, decorated with beautiful lights and frills... it was so romantic.  It was such an awesome event, one that will last in our minds for a long time.

So if you are holding any great and special events, this is the right time and option to log into this website here for more information and details.  You can also log in to their Facebook on EstateWeddingsAndEvents to get the latest updates.  I am sure with the proper preparation, your event function will be on everyone's lips and it will be remembered always.

This Blog Might Be Under Maintenance Soon

I am going to change the theme of this blog soon... either that or I am going to shut down this because I just cannot manage two blogs at one go... Maintaining two at the same time take a lot of time and since I am still working, it is almost impossible.  I wonder how some other bloggers can manage to maintain few blogs at the same time and daily updating them too.  Salute!
Anyway, I am thankful that I have learn a lot from blogging... knowing so many people from all over the world and learning a lot from them as well, not forgetting winning a few giveaways here and there... hahaha...
Thank you for your support!!

London Olympics 2012

I did not stay up to watch the opening ceremony but I heard from many that the ceremony was very SPECTACULAR!  Though I did not see the live event, I am sure that there will be repeats later on in the TV as well as in youtube.  I can imagine how exciting it was for those who attended the live ceremony in London itself.  Our own Malaysian players who are there now will definitely remember this event for the rest of their lives!

Happy Family's Day

I went for the church service last night and one doctor shared about Fatherhood in theme with this week's Father's Day...

He began by saying that it is actually Family Day... because without Family, there is no Father's Day....

I was thinking, yeah... he is right... fatherhood begins when there are kids....and when there are kids, it is called family.... The kids will start by saying...

F.... Father
A....And
M... Mother
I..... I
L.... Love
Y.... You

Happy Family's Day!!

Don't Take For Granted...

When it comes to music and entertainment, it fires up the interest in my heart.  My deep passion for music is always there, each time I hold the microphone, I don't feel like putting it down again... music is part of my life, especially worship songs.

It was disheartening when I heard that the lead worship singer broke down into tears recently.  I can understand how she felt when things went wrong, when in a state of panic, one does not know how to "enter" into the song... and it is worse when the "co-worshipers" are not helping either.

One thing to learn from this... during practice time, do not always depend on the leader to start or when to "go in"... as co-worshipers, one must also learn the song well enough, to know where to back her/him up during worship time.  Don't take for granted.....

A Miracle To Me

You are so real that I fear from now on....
Never have I ask for a miracle to happen....
I thought there is no more chance... but You make it come true....

It was written that she was not qualified to go for the Educamp.... my heart sank... I was so sad... I didn't show it out for I didn't want her to be upset too...

But I seek You in my prayers that night... I remember what I said, something like this..... "Father, I am asking for a favour from You, I want to believe that You are real... can You show me that You listen to my prayers?  Can you answer my prayers asking You for a miracle?  You know that her application has been rejected and our hearts were saddened... Can you reverse that rejection to acceptance?  It is my heart's desire as well as her desire to enroll into this Uni... all I want is a chance for her to attend this Educamp.... it would be a miracle if You allow this to happen... I will glorify Your name..... "

After my petition, I nearly forgot about it until .... one day my girl told me, "Hey Mi, my friend told me that my application for Educamp has been approved!!"  "What??? I thought it was rejected??"  No... that rejection was for another issue... but what is real is that my girl has been approved to attend the Educamp.... what I ASKED from My Father, He answered!!

Oh..oh... so He is making it happen....When I thought there was no more hope, He shows me that He is the Hope.... When I thought I was asking for the Impossible, He made it Possible... that is scary, right!

My Father God answers.... He knows Best... He not only allows my girl to go for the Educamp interview, He even allows my girl to get Accepted in the university and I pray that He will continue to guide and protect her all the way.....

Thank You Father God.... You are really Awesome!

Nicholas Sparks Made Me Cry...

Yes, he made me cry these two days... reading towards the end of this title The Last Song, my precious tears were at the corner of my eyes and I have to swallow back the lump in my throat to keep me from "wailing" out.....
Oh dear, I read a few of Nicholas's books before and I was not teary at all though I love reading his way of writing... they indeed touched my heart but this one is super-touching!
Maybe the characters in the book are sort of similiar.... we love our kids.... no doubt about loving them unconditionally too... but Steve, the father, he is so full of spirit's love... so understanding and patient that his rebellious daughter melted towards him in the middle part of the book...

I don't really know how to review a book but if you are an avid reader, do take up this book and read it with all your heart....

What would the world be like without us

Torn Between Two

Oh dear, it has been a long while since I last posted in this blog... it will become "mouldy" and "mossy" if I keep neglecting this blog.  This reminds me of one verse in the Bible... it says...we can never serve two masters...
True in a way, one will get more attention than the other... the servant cannot treat them equally good and fine...
Just like this blog and my caring one.... I seem to neglect this and paying more attention to the other...
Our lives are also like that.... if we pay too much attention to our earthly stuff, we will tend to neglect our Lord...
I must remind myself to focus to the more Important One...

Susan Lewis, Sandra Brown... I adore these!

For the first time in history, I bought 4 books in a row last weekend!  Books are not cheap these days.. let me tell you!  Our government should encourage us to read more by reducing the import tax so that the prices of books are more affordable.  Not anyone would want to spend hundred over ringgit for just a couple of books, right?

Anyway, hope in future, books prices will be reduced.. right now, I will spend my precious time reading these books slowly and carefully... hahahaa....

I love Susan Lewis books... read a few before.. Sandra Brown is also not bad but I haven't read the other two authors before... Hope they are as good if not better! :)

Music In The Air

I love music ever since I was a young teenager.  In fact, out of six siblings, five of us love to play music, my brother on the keyboard, another brother plays the guitar and the rest of us girls love to sing.  Even now as we are in our fifties, we still love to sing along with the strumming of our guitars.  I guess music is in our blood. :)  If given an opportunity during my schooling days, I would have taken up music as a career.  Now as a mother of three grown up kids, I still love to sing but unfortunately I do not have real singing lessons.  Thank God for the church I go to, they provide us singing training once awhile and I learn a bit of this and that from there.  Loving music means listening to them as well, even when I am in front of the keyboard, the music will looming over the air..
Ever heard of Jo Dee Messina?  She is one special lady with a beautiful voice connected to the music world.  For those who have not heard of her before, now you can just click onto her website and you will be as fascinated as I am too!  Music is simply beautiful....

Whitney Houston Sad Memories In Songs

Whitney Houston... the first thing that came to my mind was her movie The Bodyguard... I think I have watched it several times.  "I Always Love You" is the hit song in this movie and ever since then, I have been listening to her other songs like "I wanna dance with somebody".. Saving All My Love For You...

Coming to think of it, her songs are rather sad in a way.... the lyrics... they expressed a kind of loneliness in Whitney... Greatest Love Of All... those are great songs.... she will always be remembered...

God Bless Her Soul...

Great Savings With Walgreens

This post brought to you by Walgreens. All opinions are 100% mine.

Medical expenses are very high these days, when my son got sick last month, his fees were quite high for just a normal cough and flu.  After this incident, it is advisable to keep some medicine at home for safeguarding.  One of the websites I came across as most reasonable and affordable is Walgreen website where they are offering great discounts and savings.  Let ne tell you briefly about their benefits, one of them is their special discount on their annual membership for its Prescription Savings Club at Walgreens

For just $10 a year, you can over your whole family membership and that includes your spouse and your kids below 22 of age and that includes pets as well. LOL.... how humorous!   If you are not married, do not be disappointed, you can still join for a small fee of $5 only, with this membership, you are also entitled to receive discount prices on your prescriptions as well.

With this membership, you can save on 8,000 brand-name products and all generic medications as well.  Not only that, you can have discounts on flu shots, pet prescriptions, nebulizers and diabetic supplies.   Besides that when you purchase any Walgreen products and photofinishing, you can save up on bonuses.  Isn't that great?  We can continue to support Walgreens by liking them on Walgreens on Facebook and following them on Walgreens on Twitter.

Easy Access To Rooms For Rent

My daughter just finished her SPM and will be continuing with her higher education. I asked her where she would want to study. She told me that she wanted to study in Kuala Lumpur. I was puzzled because I do not know anyone from Kuala Lumpur nor do I have anyone who stays nearby her college. So, what I have to do is that I have to find her a room nearby her college. Not only that, since she is a girl, it’s safer if I find her a good landlady so that she doesn’t get bullied.

Most importantly, I have to find her a good safer area and a place as near as possible to her college so that she doesn’t have to travel far to college every day. I asked my friends if anyone knows where to find rooms for rent. My friend recommended me one website to search for rooms for rent at iBilik . So, I went back home and searched through that website. To my surprise, that website has a lot of rooms to choose from.
That website is easy to browse because you can choose the options you want and it will sort it out for you. Not only that, another benefit would be, avoiding the hassle for going through house agents because if I were to go through house agents to get me a room, I would be charged extra, whereas going to iBilik to search for a room is free. I am also sure that this website is safe because it has public advertisements all over like the picture shown below.
