Last night, for the first time, I witnessed my son, Andy, playing the drums for the Saturday church service in church. It was the second time he was with the church band. Darren, the band leader had approached him asking whether it would be affecting with his SPM studies or not. Andy replied him that it is an honour to serve God... I am indeed proud of him saying that.
It is indeed an honour to serve our Lord Jesus, in any way that we can, if there is a calling, we should abide and turn ourselves in. I believe there is a gift in everyone, as written in the bible. Those who can preach, let them evangelise. Those who can sing well, join worship, those likes mission, will go for missionary work, like in street ministry...so on and so forth.
Not everyone has the same interest or gift... I know I dont have the gift of preaching or evangelising.... some have the gift of praying, they know how to pray very well, for the church and for others. But above all, God sees our innerself....how much are we giving our time for Him? How willing are we? Have I sacrifice much for Him? I should have done more and could do more.... it is just not enough as it is now....
you should give thanks to God for all these gifts he has given you. You are blessed.
